Extreme Golf Cart Makeover (Episode 6)

Extreme Golf Cart Makeover (Episode 6)

Welcome back to the Extreme Golf Cart Makeover Series. First of all, thank you so much for showing this much love to this makeover series. We know every episode of this series is getting more exciting and informative. Our golf cart experts Dave and Nick are working hard to remodel the Yamaha Drive golf cart. We installed a DoubleTake Vortex body kit to the Yamaha in the previous episode and tested the lights.

In today’s episode, we’re installing a matching blue on black DoubleTake Sentry dashboard and a new floor cover. Make sure to keep reading until the end of today’s blog for the end result.

Here’s our step-by-step guide on installing a custom dashboard.

Installing a Dashboard

Our enthusiastic experts, Dave and Nick, completed the entire process of installing the new dashboard in three easy steps.

Step 1: Choose the Dashboard

As we said earlier, we chose a matching blue on black DoubleTake dashboard. Color definitely make a difference, and we love the DoubleTake dash because there are so many color options to choose from! We are sticking with the blue on black color combination for this series.

How to choose the dashboard?

You will most likely have this question in mind. Well, in our case, this custom dash assembly is part of a full upgrade kit from DoubleTake. You can easily get this kit at Golf Cart Garage, and it’s also available for Club Car and EZ-GO models. The best part is you’ll find a wide range of color options to choose from.

Step 2: Installing the Dashboard

After choosing the dashboard, we moved forward to start the installation. Now that we’ve got the key switch, the light switch, and the oil indicator installed on the face panel, we think the whole thing looks elegant and dashing.

Note : We opened the Madjax kit, and we were impressed with the quality of the product. Madjax never fails to impress!

Step 3: Add the Floor Cover

First we removed the old floor, which was very worn. Later on, we decided to install a Madjax diamond plate style floor cover in black to match our color scheme and give it that extra finished, professional look.

End Result

The dashboard after installation and replacement floor came out looking fantastic, and we were very impressed with its style and look.
